I am a project manager with more than twenty years experience in the Telecom/IT field, and I have worked for tier 1 mobile operators such as Vodafone and Telecom Italia Mobile in Italy or H3G and Vodacom or MTN abroad with and for the primary Vendors/System integrators and international management consulting firms as manager and project manager.
As a project manager I have succesfully managed many big projects in the field of Billing and CRM in Italy and abroad.

Work Experience
From Feb 2004 – today in ADC/Intec/CSG (Dirigente Industria) with following roles:
    • 10/06 – today, In INTEC/CSG as Project Manager for EMEA Professional Services Organization: Full Program/Project management responsibility. Budget control, Customer relationship, new features estimation, software development/delivery planning. 

Main projects and Customers:
        ◦ Sky Italy  deployment of interconnect system to support voice services launch. 6 months
        ◦ Vodacom South Africa  Deployment of Ranshare solution for revenue assurance. Mediation, Interconnect and DRM products implementation. (9 Months between on-site in Johannesburg and Remote)
        ◦ RAIN South Africa  deployment of mediation and interconnect systems to support voice services launch. 6 months
        ◦ H3G Sweden  SV Upgrade project. Remote and in Stockholm (about 9 months)

    • 8/98 – 06/99 In LHS -Integration and Acceptance TEST coordinator in The Wind project (in Rome). Development, planning and execution of tests based on business cases. Support to WIND testers, for what concern DB configuration, test set-up and test result analisys, for both batch and on-line BSCS ver. 5.21 modules.

From 4/96 till 7/98, System Engineering Manager for the Globalstar Project at Elsag-Bailey
    • In charge of all Network Architecture related subjects inside the Globalstar project.
    • Collaboration with Program Management for the whole project.
    • Requirements and specifications for the Interconnection/Interworking between Globalstar Gateways and PSTN/PLMNs networks.
    • Responsible for the implementation of Globalstar GMSS numbering plan.
    • Responsible for the definition and technical implementation of roaming agreement between the Globalstar system and PLMNs.
    • Support to the Billing System and Customer Care department for the definition of system requirements.
    • Support to the business department for the definition of services and in-country business development.
    • Representative for Elsag Bailey/Finmeccanica in the Italian Post & Telecommunication Ministry committee revisiting the National Numbering Plan.

From 11/94 till 4/96 Information Technology Project Manager in Customer Care & Billing System Area for Omnitel Pronto Italia
    • Project Manager for the Development of the Omnitel Fraud Management System: Specification, installation, and integration with BSCS (LHS) Billing System and customization of the Digital's Fraud Detection System. Collaboration to the development of company antifraud policies and procedures (Activation, Collection, and other company procedures review, risk analysis on the introduction of new services and technologies).
    • Project Manager for the Development of the on-line coverage Map system. Requirement analysis, specification, development, installation and integration with trouble tickets system of a MS-windows based application on the customer reps workstation able to display Omnitel network coverage and dealer location, as well as major network outages and service faults.
    • Project Manager for the last customization phase of the Lead Tracking System. Brock Based application used by Customer Care reps to track potential new subscribers, and by marketing department to evaluate effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
    • Strict collaboration with program management team inside IT department.

From 12/90 till 11/94 Business Analyst for the radiomobile service in Telecom Italia.
    • Definition of the company strategic business plans in the field of Radiomobile services for the years ‘92/93/94.
    • Technical and Marketing analysis related to the introduction of a centralized voice mail service for the consumer market.
    • Delegate for the Planning area in a Working Group with Network and Radiomobile divisions analysing the development strategies for Radiomobile services under the threat of incoming competitors.
    • Analysis of Network structures (MSC, SGT, SGU, BSS, transmission links) aimed at the evaluation of criticality due to the availability of different routing patterns for the traffic from mobile to fixed network, fixed to mobile and mobile to mobile.
    • Evaluation of market potentiality for the Radiomobile services in Italy (Research commissioned to Monitor consultancy firm). Market segmentation and introduction of customized pricing (Family tariff).
    • Survey on the technological evolution of mobile telephony. Market impact evaluation coming from the introduction of new technologies (DCS1800, DECT, CT2, etc..).
    • Economical analysis of Radiomobile Business aimed at the definition of the Access Charge and methodologies for allocating cost of leased lines to mobile operators.
    • Delegate for the Planning area in a Working Group with Network Area, Radiomobile division, CSELT analysing the market potential of the incoming technologies (DECT and DCS1800). (Local Services and synergy with fixed networks)
    • In collaboration with STET, ITALCABLE, TELESPAZIO, analysis of IRIDIUM project business Plan. Evaluation of opportunity and threats. Monitoring of IRIDIUM concurrent satellite networks (GLOBALSTAR, INMARSAT, etc.).
    • Delegate for the Planning area in a Working Group with Network, Radiomobile Division, ITALTEL, evaluating possible synergy between SIP and ITALTEL, on the supply of new mobility services (PCS, DECT, DCS1800) in a competitive environment.
    • Coordination of the Working Group (Network, Consumer Division, Radiomobile Division, Information Technology, Business Division, Strategic Planning, CSELT) aimed at the launch of a mobile service based on the DECT standard. Collaboration with MONITOR for the definition and development of a research on the market potentiality for local services.
    • Responsible for performing the International monitoring of technological and market evolution (participant at conferences and seminars on Radiomobile services and technologies, PCS and PCN service like, and Wireless local loop)

Education and Training

Several training courses on telecommunication technologies (16 weeks on Traffic theory, Information theory, transmission technologies and modulations, switching principles and main switch architectures, signaling, networking, etc.) and marketing (5 weeks on general marketing principles). Plus a final thesis. (12 weeks, Creation of a software package able to dimensioning and tariffing a network based on Hughes VSAT technology).

Qualification to Engineering profession taken during academic year ‘88/89 (May 1990 session).

University Degree in Electronic Engineering (Specialization in Electronic and Telecommunications) April '90 with 110/110 (DegreeThesis in microelectronics with Scholarship by SGS Thomson microelectronics)
